Each permission is compsed of a number of attributes. These attributes are explained below:
Realm
A realm is an area of control for content - these are not currently used in the system.
User/Group
This is the user or group that the permission applies to. For more information, please see the help pages for users and groups.
Component
This is the part of the system you would like to set the permission for.
Instance
This is the part of the component that you wish to set the permission for.
A list of components and their parts (instances) for which permissions can be set can be accessed by clicking on the words 'Component' or 'Instance' in the top row of the permissions table.
Level
This is the level of authorisation provided. It can be one of the following:
